Patches for Uniforms, Clubs and Teams
Uniform suppliers and clubs order embroidered badges, name patches and hook-and-loop removable patches from SAIM Label, plus chenille letters for varsity programs. Constructions and backings are chosen for wash-heavy use, and approved badge designs stay on file so member reorders match the originals.

The right constructions for this program

What experienced buyers specify up front
- Hook-and-loop backing suits rotating personnel and gear that gets washed separately; sew-on is the permanent route.
- Complex crests with small mottos work best as a woven patch, or as embroidery with a woven center panel — decide before digitizing.
- Badges on daily-wash uniforms should specify thread coverage and border type up front; both are on our per-batch QC list.
- Keep an approved master patch: reorders are matched against it, not against memory.
RFQ checklist
- Crest or badge artwork (vector preferred; we can redraw from a clear photo for review)
- Sizes per placement: shoulder, chest, cap
- Backing per use: sew-on, hook-and-loop, pin
- Wash conditions if unusual (industrial laundry, outdoor)
- Quantity now + expected reorder rhythm
Uniforms, Clubs & Teams questions
Can you make removable patches for uniforms?
Yes. Hook-and-loop backing is the standard removable route for name, team and unit patches.
Our crest has small text - will it survive?
Small mottos usually need the woven route or a simplified embroidered version; we flag this at the proof stage rather than stitching unreadable text.
Do reorders for new members match the old patches?
Yes. The approved design, thread colors and settings are kept on file, so repeat batches are produced to the same master.
