Custom PVC and Rubber Patches
Molded soft PVC patches from SAIM Label hold crisp logos, survive water and abrasion, and suit outdoor, tactical, bag and cap programs where fabric patches wear out. New shapes take a one-time mold; the mold is kept, so repeat orders run faster.

What pvc patches actually cost
Computed from the live catalog price ranges of 36 pvc patches designs — not a marketing table. Size, construction and quantity move the final number; the quote confirms it.
| Pilot run (at MOQ) | $0.77 – $1.00 /pc typical |
|---|---|
| Volume production | $0.19 – $0.40 /pc typical |
Choose it when
Choose PVC when the patch must survive water, mud and abrasion, or when the brand wants a modern molded look with crisp raised edges. Color zones stay sharp and the patch keeps its shape outdoors.
Check another route when
Avoid PVC when the buyer expects a fabric feel or needs iron-on application: PVC cannot be heat-pressed onto garments. Plan sew-on channels or hook-and-loop from the start.

Read before you finalize artwork
- PVC cannot be ironed on; confirm the sewing channel or hook-and-loop route before artwork approval.
- A new shape requires a one-time mold cost and slightly longer first lead time; repeats are faster.
- Gradients must be simplified into solid color layers; confirm the color split on the proof.

PVC Patches questions, answered
Are PVC patches waterproof?
Yes. Molded PVC handles rain, mud and washing better than fabric patches, which is why outdoor and tactical programs use it.
Can PVC patches be ironed on?
No. PVC cannot be heat-pressed. The standard routes are a molded sew channel for machine sewing or hook-and-loop backing for removable use.
What is the difference between 2D and 3D PVC patches?
2D uses flat stacked color layers with sharp edges; 3D adds sculpted relief and rounded depth. 3D molds cost more but give a stronger emblem look.
Do repeat orders need a new mold?
No. The mold is kept for repeat production of the same design, which shortens lead time on reorders.
